Journey to the Source: India 2020

 The Chakra Institute's 43nd Annual

Journey to the Source, India 2020

 with Sri Shyamji Bhatnagar

February 4 - 21 , 2020

Bangalore – Mysore –Rishkesh- Delhi

A unique pilgrimage, a self-inquiry with rare saints,
an inward journey through daily sadhana...

The Chakra Institute invites you to be with one of the most revered saints and to visit some of the most sacred destinations in India.

A golden opportunity to learn about Vedanta with Swami Atmanandendra Saraswati, the finest vedantic saint and scholar,  96 years of age.

He will address our questions, during our seven darshans (visits of blessing). Mataji, his sister and a living model of Vedantic philosophy will also offer darshans. Throughout the journey, Sri Shyamji will impart his teachings.

An exceptional journey, one that will offer extraordinary experiences. Your journey will begin on February 4th for Americans, and on the morning of the February 5th for Europeans.

Plan on arriving in Bengalore by early on the 6th morning (anytime on the 5th of February). The group will go on to Mysore, meeting with Swamiji and Mataji on February 7th. These meetings are the rarest opportunity to closely experience two saints who have dedicated their lives to their vedantic spiritual practice.

Mataji will present highly practical tools for daily living, through Vedanta. Their intimate ashram is situated in a peaceful environment outside of Mysore city.

In Mysore, reside at the Indus Valley Ayurvedic Center, a highly respected ayurvedic wellness institute. Organic meals are prepared to balance the tridoshas. Ayurvedic treatments are available by appointment.

The institute's large, air-conditioned rooms, designed according to the principles of Vatsu, will be shared. A few smaller single non-A/C rooms with a ceiling fans are also available by advance request)

Chamunda Devi Temple

Kesava Temple, Somnathpur

On February 13th, we will depart for Rishkesh, one of india's most sacred locales. We will visit Tapkashwara temple, and sit in the cave where Sri Shyamji had meetings with his Guruji.

Travel by car to profound spiritual locales, including Vashistha Gufa, the cave where Sri Ramji’s guru lived, and to Devprayag, dating to the time of the Ramayana.

Here we will have a sacred ceremony. After the ceremony we may bathe at this sacred confluence of the eight rivers that melt into the magnificent Ganga (Ganges).
It is said that a sacred bath at this confluence, after preparation with special prayers and offerings, may clear all of one’s past karmas, from all past lives.
