Meanings of the mantra from the Tantras
I express my deepest reverence to Brahma, creator of the present universes in which countless froces are helping mankind to survive on this fragile planet and do our duties (Dharma).
My deepest gratitude to the Sun that nourishes all life on our planet, and I acknowledge the protectivenature of the Jupiter (Guru) who protects our earth. I thank Venus, ruler of the heart chakra mind, for it teaches us to love unconditionally, and for its relationship to the Sun. I thank Mars, the ruler of the 1st chakra mind, that inspires me to feel grounded and accomplish my mission. I thank the great Saturn, ruler of the 6th chakra mind that shows me duality of light and darkness. My acknowledgement to the countless other forces that help humanity to sustain harmony in this universe.
The Vedic Sandhya
The great Goddess, the cause of all, I bow to your great power that fills the planet with pure prana, the life giving energy that energizes my senses. Every dawn my mind is focused on my True Divine Nature, as I feel the sun rising in my solar plexus. May the universal forces pave my path through all the subtle planets of existance (Lokas) when I leave this mortal body behind and merge into the source of all pervading universal Consiousness that I truly Am.
Suggestions for achieving optimum effect of the mantras
After invoking Ganesha, Sri Shyamji chants the mantra for lighting a ghee lamp. All mantras are chanted with the principle of Naada Yoga, which is to avoid breathing in with the mouth.
There is a popular belief that Brahma, whose sound is A, should be avoided in chanting the mantra AOM, which is invocation of Trinity. Creator Brahma’s sound is A, preserver Vishnu’s sound is O, and the transformer Shiva’s sound is M. In Kali Yuga, Brahma is not to be worshipped, therefore, there is only one temple of Brahma in Pushkar in the entire country of India. Most people do not pronounce A in the sound of AOM. Shyamji has emphasized the sound A for this reason, so that Brahma the creator can be acknowledged for his sacred duty of creation.
24 minutes before sunrise, there is a wave of rich prana. When sitting, we absorb pure prana through the whirling perfect chakras of our sebtle energy system. The light from the perfect chakras eneters our system through the microchakras to the spine.
For optimum effect, prior to listening, have a bowel movement and cleanse. Sit facing the sun. If you are menstruating or didn’t have a bowel movement keep your eyes open.
Sri Shyamji Bhatnagar, Master of NAADA (the yoga of sound), met his spiritual teacher at the age of twelve in his native India. After moving to the United States he developed a unique psycho-spiritual theory of ‘microchakras’ which profoundly enriches the classical understanding of the chakras.
His method of InnerTuning® combines microchakra theory with his exceptional gift for producing sounds that enhance the flow of energy in the microchakras. This benefits both the psychological and spiritual aspects of our being. For over four decades, professionals and students, both in Europe and America, have enriched their lives through his work.
