MANTRA MEANING

Sharaday Ma is the goddess Sarasvati. She is portrayed as a beautiful goddess riding on a white swan called Hamsa. This symbolizes her ability to ride the breath. The sound of the inhale breath is called "So" and the sound of the exhale breath is "Hum". These sounds can be observed by carefully listening to the tone of one's own breath.

Sarasvati resides in the fifth chakra and all fifth microchakras. Fifth chakra qualities are creativity, communication, eloquence, Truthfulness and inner knowledge.

Sweetness in chanting and the power of the mantra's effect is produced by the element of the fifth chakra called akasha. The most refined akasha is called surya akasha and is produced by ethereal chanting.
